Jake Kasdan directing Bad Teacher

From the guys writing the new Ghostbusters script…

Walk Hard director Jake Kasdan has signed on to tackle another comedy – Bad Teacher, written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg.

You might know those names as the two guys currently slaving away bashing out drafts for the new Ghostbusters film that Dan Aykroyd can’t stop talking up.

Bad Teacher
is a screenplay they sold to Sony last August and it’s been sitting around waiting for a director.

Now Kasdan will handle the tale of a sweary teacher who gets ditched by her sugar daddy and makes a play for a handsome male colleague.

Her interest sparks a clash with the school’s best educator.

There’s no word yet on who will nab the lead roles, but with the writers of Year One (above) and the man who shot Walk Hard on board, expect to see some familiar comedy names hired.

But it might have to wait anyway - Kasdan is already also attached to Burt Dickenson: The Most Powerful Magician On Planet Earth, a comedy about a magic performer who loses his moho when he accidentally kills his partner during an act.
