James Nesbitt joins The Way

Emilio Estevez' new drama

James Nesbitt and Deborah Kara Unger have signed on to Emilio Estevez' new family drama, The Way.

Talking of family, Estevez has roped in a solid thesp for the lead - his dad, Martin Sheen.

Sheen will play Tom Avery, a man who travels to France to reclaim the body of his son, who died in a snowstorm.

But instead of shipping him home to be buried, he has him cremated, stores his ashes in his backpack and continues the journey his estranged lad was on - the thousand-year-old pilgrimage route of Camino de Santiago.

Estevez is already shooting the film near the Pyrenees and will be filming for the next month or so…
