If Marvel are looking for some stunt casting in their next round of superhero projects, Jean-Claude Van Damme has made it known that he’s ready and willing to join in the fun.
Van Damme has responded to comments from Chris Hemsworth saying that he’d like to star opposite the Belgian action legend, expressing an interest in a number of Marvel properties he’d be keen on.
“I read that Chris Hemsworth would like me to co-star in The Avengers 2,” said JCVD on Facebook. "It would be fun to play one of these types of amazing comic book characters again. By the way, I am a big fan of Marvel's superhero Silver Surfer and also another heroic fictional character known as Doc Savage - the Man of Bronze!
With The Fantastic Four soon to be rebooted by Josh Trank, perhaps there will be room for JCVD to realise his dream after all. Has Avengers 2 found its Thanos? The possibilities are endless.
The Fantastic Four will open in the US on 6 March 2015, with The Avengers 2 following on 1 May 2015. With or without Van Damme…

He's too old to play Silver Surfer, wouldnt mind seeing him play a villain though, as long as he isnt like Arnold as Mr Freeze

My mind is burning at the idea. This would be a terrible casting choice on their part.

Marvel Studios were excellent with the casting over the course of Phase One, if he gets cast in the MCU then it's safe to say he's right for the part.

Sorry guys I love you all but.......... It does intrigue me and since he was prob the only half decent actor and most interesting character in expendables 2 (other than willis) I believe there prob is a character for him, yeah prob a villain actually n to be fair he's not ageing bad and he still packs a punch n has been absent from main stream long enough, also it's prob just me but I think he's quite underrated!........ Yes I am now preparing for hate mail haha XMX

Yeah Mattimus, he was the best thing in Expendables 2, by virtue of going the full ham and beans with his performance. That kind of self-deprecation would make him a great Marvel Villian like Apocolyspe.

OMG Apocalypse!....... Such vision Mr Hadouken76 : ) I rather like your style. In other words s**t yes, or maybe even Sinister? Although think sinister is more part of the X-Men universe, but yeah good call!
