The Bourne Legacy is one of the films we're most excited about this summer, so we were very happy to sit down for a chat with its star, Jeremy Renner.
Renner's character Aaron Cross replaces Matt Damon's Jason Bourne as the franchise key focus in The Bourne Legacy - but that doesn't mean Renner doesn't want Damon back for the sequels.
"The floodgates are open. It's a much bigger programme and world than we initially thought. It allows Matt and I to jump into a movie as adversaries or to fight together against evil or whatever the heck it may be. Or we could have separate movies. It could go anywhere…"

yes as he has set the standard for Jeremy Renner high and even he thinks matt damon is bourne so how much more convincing do you need

Matt Damon is awesome but . . . Jeremy Renner seems such a sweetie in the way he talked about keeping the door open for Damon to come back. I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, as my boss reminds me every day - nobody's indispensable! He's a pharmacist (groan!) If I win this prize, I'll go and give them both a big ol' hug! (Damon & Jenner - NOT my boss!)

Matt Damon is so closely associated with the role that it will be hard for anyone else to take it on, but I want to see the film before reaching a conclusion. (And to see it in New York would be the best thing ever.)
