Jim Broadbent joins Young Victoria
Along with Miranda Richardson and Mark Strong

Historical drama The Young Victoria just got a whole lot more regal. And pumped its thesp cred up by several points thanks to the addition of Jim Broadbent, Miranda Richardson and Mark Strong to its cast.
Broadbent has agreed to play King William, while Richardson is the Duchess of Kent (AKA the mother of Emily Blunt as Victoria). Strong will show up as conniving courtier Conroy.
Rupert Friend’s already onboard to star alongside Blunt as Prince Albert, the young queen’s future hubby. Jean-Marc Vallee’s going to start calling the shots later this month on location in Blighty.
