Jim Carrey is Pierre Pierre

And Jason Reitman’s directing the nihilist comedy

Jim Carrey’s next film will be Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. No, no it won’t. It’ll be Walter Mitty. Nope… He’s starring in I Love You, Philip Morris. Um… Not so much. While any of those are still possible in the overloaded schedule of the rubber-faced Canadian, Carrey has now signed on to star in Pierre Pierre.

The double-named comedy – to be directed by Juno’s Oscar nominated Jason Reitman – is apparently a politically incorrect tale of a French Nihilist who swaps his usual life of brooding darkly for transporting a stolen painting from Paris to London.

There’s no start date yet, but Variety is inking in the details.

Hint: The film starred Michael J Fox as accidental time traveller Marty McFly.
