Star Trek helmer JJ Abrams has found a junior James T Kirk to appear in Star Trek, says Comingsoon.net. Jimmy Bennett, last seen in Evan Almighty as one of Steve Carell’s kids, will play the young Kirk, who grows up to become Chris Pine.
On the subject of young actors getting cast, Alexander Ludwig, who played Will Stanton in The Dark Is Rising, has been cast in Witch Mountain, Disney’s reboot of its 1975 adventure Escape To Witch Mountain. He’ll star alongside Anna Sophia Robb and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a tale of two orphan kids on the run from a villainous millionaire. IGN has the story.
