Joe Wright directing My Fair Lady?

And Keira Knightley locked in the lead?

Looks like the long developing new film adaptation of My Fair Lady is about to gear up again - Joe Wright has apparently signed on to direct, with Keira Knightley all but confirmed to star.

According to The Telegraph, Wright has been chosen to helm the film now that he's available again following the collapse of Indian Summer, which was felled by budgetary concerns and protests by the Indian government over its storyline.

Also in the story is mention of the fact that Knightley - who has been mentioned in connection with the film before - secured the role over Scarlett Johansson and has been getting singing lessons to be ready.

Best news, however? That Emma Thompson's writing the script…

Is this a good idea? Can Keira make it work? Tell us...

I think it hinges on who is cast as Henry Higgins as everything so far seems to be class.
