John Goodman has been recruited by director Stephen Daldry to appear in his new film Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close.
An adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel, the film already boasts an impressive A-list cast, with Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock starring.
The plot follows 10-year-old Oskar (newbie Thomas Horn), whose father (Hanks) dies during the 9/11 attacks.
Grieving his loss, Oskar goes on a journey that helps him to deal with his father's death, and discover the significance of the lock-box key left behind by his pa.
Goodman is being lined up to play a doorman at Oskar’s apartment building who participates in exhuming his father’s coffin.
Considering it’s been adapted by Eric Roth, who also wrote Forrest Gump, expect something saccharine laced with humour.
