She’s normally found in fluffy romantic comedies like the upcoming Fool’s Gold, but Kate Hudson is switching tracks for a new project.
She’ll play the painter Margaret Keane in a biopic of the woman who became one of the first ever mass-market artists back in the 1950s with her “big-eyed” child portraits.
As Variety reports, her story also includes feminist struggles and a troubled marriage, and biopic scripting experts Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski are stepping up to direct their work for the first time.
