Keanu Reeves has, uh, signed on to star, uh, in an indie drama called Generation Um.
Produced by The Hurt Locker’s Nicolas Chartier, the flick will be directed by Mark L. Mann, and follows Reeves’ fringe-dwelling free-wheeler.
Along with his friends (played by Devil’s Bojana Novakovic and Adelaide Clemens), he indulges in sex and drugs, their lives free from direction.
Which sounds like one long, extended trawl through the bar culture of a nameless city. Except apparently these guys are going to have a moment of “self-discovery” amid the Sambuca.
Clearly this is the kind of role that Reeves can do in his sleep (he’s the granddaddy of looking like he’s just come off a mad weekend bender), but do we want to see it?
Considering the last thing we saw Reeves play the lead in was The Day The Earth Stood Still, surely the only way is up?
