Richard Loncraine has just started shooting My One And Only – a drama loosely inspired by George Hamilton’s childhood, which saw his mother taking her kids on a road trip to find them a rich man to help the family – in Baltimore.
But that hasn’t stopped him adding Kevin Bacon to the cast to play the dodgy, adulterous bandleader that the mother figure (Renee Zellweger) leaves behind.
Chris Noth, Nic Stahl and Logan Lerman are also in the cast and Variety is hitching a ride.
