What happens when your child starts displaying weird and scary tendencies? It’s usually not a good thing, particularly when you’re in a film.
Kevin Costner’s about to find out, because he’s agreed to star in a thriller called The New Pretender.
Scriptwriter John Travis has adapted John Connolly’s short story, which finds a single father moving to a farm with his two children after a rough divorce. The family ignores a strange burial mound in a nearby field until the daughter (Pan’s Labyrinth star Ivana Baquero) starts behaving ominously.
Luiso Berdejo is making his directorial debut with the movie, and will start calling the shots early next year.
