Allen Hughes' political thriller Broken City has added Kyle Chandler to its already impressive cast.
The Super 8 actor will star alongside Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe and Catherine Zeta-Jones in TheBook Of Eli director's latest film.
The story follows Billy Taggart (Wahlberg), a private detective hired to identify the lover of a powerful politician's (Crowe) wife. Taggart finds the man, but not before he's gone and gotten himself murdered.
Kyle Chandler will play a strategist for a New York mayoral candidate (Barry Pepper) who is Crowe's opponent in the political race. It's sounding a little complicated, but George Clooney's The Ides Of March recently reminded us that political machinations could be cinema-friendly.
Broken City is due for release in January 2013, though Chandler will be seen before that in Ben Affleck's Argo.
