Playing the queen to a group of trouble-making, rabble-rousing warriors will have put 300’s Lena Headey in good stead for her next job.

Fresh from the epic battle film, and a stint playing Sarah Connor on the pilot for the Terminator-based TV pilot The Sarah Connor Chronicles, she’s signed up as part of the staff for the new St Trinian’s film.

She and Infamous star Toby Jones have both agreed to play teachers, alongside Celia Imrie and Anna Chancellor in the latest incarnation of the franchise, currently being shot by the team of Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thompson at Ealing Studios.

And they’re all joining a heavyweight cast that already includes Rupert Everett (in drag, no less as Miss Fritton), Colin Firth, Emily Watson, Richard E Grant and, er, singer Amy Winehouse.
