While rumours have danced around newsrooms for years that the Lethal Weapon team might look to add one more film to the franchise, nothing has really come of it.
But now Comingsoon.net, quoting pay-per-script-rumour site TrackingB reports that original LW writer Shane Black may have taken it upon himself to crank out a new spec script without mentioning it to anyone else. But he didn’t leave it there, according to the site – he’s talked to producer Joel Silver about a story which would see an about-to-retire Riggs (Mel Gibson) drag family Murtaugh (Danny Glover) back for one last case.
