Liev Schreiber stars in first trailer for sci-fi thriller The Last Days On Mars: watch now

They are not alone…

The first trailer has arrived for sci-fi thriller The Last Days On Mars, in which Liev Schreiber leads a space crew on a mission to Mars, only to find more than they bargained for on the red planet…

The plot appears to borrow heavily from Alien, as the crew discover evidence of bacterial life, some fossilised and some… not so fossilised.

Following that discovery, there's a contamination. A contamination that inevitably makes its way back to the ship.

Take a look at the new trailer, below:

We mentioned comparisons with Alien before, but what this one really reminds us of is Prometheus, from the idiotic science team to the black goo that seems to envelop them. Still, the cast is strong enough to ensure we'll be giving this a second look…

Directed by Ruairi Robinson and co-starring Olivia Williams, Romola Garai and Elias Koteas, The Last Days On Mars will open in the UK on 19 September 2013.

Looks a lot like an Alien re-hash to me.

oh look, it's Alien 1 with the Aliens dropships. This film looks so effing identical to Alien I'm surprised they weren't sued.
