Another tongue-in-cheek trailer has arrived for Paul Schrader's The Canyons, as Lindsay Lohan attempts to get her career back on track as a damsel in distress in murky LA.
Described as a "contemporary L.A. noir", the film will explore "the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition, both personally and professionally, among a group of young people in their 20s". Which isn't vague at all, is it?
The trailer is clearly aiming to spoof the hard-boiled noir genre, although to the best of our understanding, the film won't be played for laughs. Which makes the trailer a little confusing, to be honest.

At this point, it's hard to tell if it'll be a comeback vehicle for Lohan, or a forgettable stinker. With Schrader at the helm, and Bret Easton Ellis writing, we presume there will be plenty going on beneath the shallow surface. Watch the earlier, '70s-inspired pulpy trailer for The Canyons.
