Man Of Steel TV spot #5: watch now

More footage. More action. More potential spoilers.

Man Of Steel has been lavishing the internet recently with riches of trailers, TV spots and posters.

Another TV spot for director Zack Snyder's superhero epic has hit the web, offering up even more footage and even more action. If you’re one of those fans who is trying to go in as cold as possible, we’d advise you give this one a wide berth, for fear of speculative spoilers.

*Speculative Spoilers Begin*

There have been whispers on the web that Krypton, and Superman’s biological Pa Jor-El (Russell Crowe), might not be destroyed in Man Of Steel, and there’s evidence of that theory if you watch the trailer closely.

It’s there in Crowe’s opening line - “You’ve grown stronger here than I ever could’ve imagined.” It’s there in the tussle between General Zod and Jor-El. And there’s the briefest glimpse of red cape, as Jor-El tells his son that he can save "all of them".

Is this some advanced crystal-based trickery, or does Jor-El survive in this vision of Superman? Or is MOS excitement just transforming us into gibbering fan-geeks?

Watch the fifth TV spot for Man Of Steel below now:

Man Of Steel opens in the UK on 14 June 2013.

Could it be the projection from the fortress of solitude? Or maybe just a dream sequence.

Hard to tell really, usually I would say not a chance, he is dead but the trailers released show what appears to be a civil war on Krypton rather than the usual blowing up so it is possible that Jor El and Krypton survive. I would rather they kept it to the standard Krypton s destroyed, don't like the idea of them changing big things like that

It's a projection or other tech. Also, some folks online have said "well it looks like there's just civil war on Krypton, the planet doesn't explode," but there's evidence that the planet does get destroyed. I can't find it online at the moment, but there's a pic of the bridge of Zod's ship, and one of the consoles contains a hologram of a planet half-destroyed, a hemisphere of blasted rock.
