Marc Forster lands Bond 22 gig

Monster’s Ball director gets spying

Talk about yer offbeat director choices. The Eon team behind the Bond films have picked the next man to sit in the big chair for the franchise and while it’s someone that has been on their short list, it’s a man we didn’t see directing Daniel Craig.

Marc Foster, better known for Finding Neverland and Monster’s Ball, will take the reigns for Bond 22, and is about to start overseeing Paul Haggis’ rewrite of the script.

“I have always been drawn to different kinds of stories, and I have also always been a Bond fan, so it is very exciting to take on this challenge," Forster babbled to Variety.

With Daniel Craig returning to star, Forster will start cranking the cameras in December for a November 2008 release date.
