Marc Webb hints at costume change for The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Director also confirms Shailene Woodley’s casting

Marc Webb has hinted at costume changes afoot in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

In a Twitter chat with Target to mark the DVD/Blu-ray release of TASM, the appropriately-named Webb mentioned a couple of differences we’d see with Andrew Garfield’s new threads.

When asked about the tweaks, Webb tweeted, “Bigger eyes. Gnarly web shooters.”

Sounds like we’re going to have an even more stylised look for the arachnid superhero the second time round.

Webb also confirmed that The Descendants star Shailene Woodley had joined the cast of the sequel, and although he didn’t go as far as to share any plot specifics, he did say that he was currently working with the writers on the script.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in the UK on 18 April 2014.

The Amazing Spider-Man. Is it any good? I'm not a fan of the comics and I'm rather indiferent toward the character himself. Should I bother? I foudn the sam Raimi movies to be way too cheesy and sentimental. Would I like the new movie?

I really enjoyed the first 2 Raimi films and am a Spidey fan. When the reboot was announced I was very very sceptical. Only just got round to watching it last week and, honestly, I LOVED it. Personally, I thought it was so much better than Raimi's version. Much more depth to it. Looking forward to number 2 now.
