Mark Wahlberg considering Reykjavik

He's pondering a thriller remake

Working Title wants Mark Wahlberg to star in a remake of Icelandic thriller Reykjavik-Rotterdam.

Currently, the actor is only attached to produce the film, but if the script - to be written by Prisoners' Aaron Guzikowski - meets with his approval, he'll take up the lead role.

That would be an ex-freight ship worker who gets the sack for smuggling alcohol between the titular route who tries to make ends meet as a security guard.

But then his best mate gets him to jump aboard one last job. Bet you can't guess how that turns out.

Oskar Jonasson directed the original, which has nabbed a load of awards in its native land and is Iceland's submission for the coming year's foreign-language Oscar.
