Martin Campbell directing Green Lantern?

He’s in talks to handle the superhero pic

Looks like Warners is getting serious about Green Lantern.

The studio is deep in negotiations with Casino Royale director Martin Campbell to take on the live-action superhero adventure.

It’s a positive sign that Warners has at last started to figure out that signing innovative, quality helmers to tackle its films might bring them more Dark Knights and fewer Catwoman-style debacles.

If he seals the deal, Campbell will take on Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim’s scripted take on the comic book tale.

The story promises to follow the adventures of Hal Jordan, a seemingly ordinary test pilot who is suddenly charged with the duty of defending our quadrant of the universe from deadly peril.

Fingers crossed for another decent superhero film to join the Spider, Iron and Batmen…
