Matt Dillon is joining the ranks of thesps racking up the roles before next year’s possible strike.
He’s about to lock down two parts, signing on for Armoured and Bone Deep, both of which will be produced by Sony’s Screen Gems arm.
Both are criminally flavoured, with Bone Deep following a gang of bank robbers trying to pull off a $20 million heist, only to find their plans foiled by LAPD detective Jack Welles (Dillon). And then there’s Armoured – which has Vacancy’s Nimrod Antal attached to direct, which will see security guards Dillon and Columbus Short hatching a scheme to nick the $10 million from their truck.
Sam Raimi’s swapping horror for crime thrillers, and both movies should start shooting early next year.
