McConaughey, PI?

Now that we think about it, the shirt-free action and sun-soaked locations of Fool’s Gold might not have added up to the best film in the world, but they did provide Matthew McConaughey the perfect audition reel for Magnum PI.
And it would appear that it worked - according to Entertainment Weekly the be-pecced one has been offered the role made famous by Tom Selleck in the iconic, moustache-tastic cop series.
Dodgeball’s Rawson Thurber is currently attached to work on the film and McConaughey is perusing his script even as you read this. Let’s hope that if he does sign, he doesn’t opt for a stunt ‘tache.
