Thanks to a deal, the pedal-pounding rivals that Emile Hirsch’s Speed will be driving against in the Warners’ Speed Racer is an actual Japanese racing team.
And while the Wachowski brothers have plumped for a futuristic, cartoon (and hallucinogen)-fuelled romp, the Autobacs Racing Team Aguri (or ARTA for short), and that participates in the Japanese Super GT series, would seem to fit right in.
