For a long time, the only news about Mel Gibson has been negative press about his drink issues and his religious views.
But now he’s looking to get back into acting with a role in Edge OF Darkness. Casino Royale director Martin Campbell is helming the remake of the 1985 BBC miniseries he was behind the camera for, which saw Bob Peck playing a buttoned-down investigator who discovers a web of corruption after his daughter is killed.
The Departed’s William Monaghan has rewritten the script and Variety is on the case.
