Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges are in negotiations to join new film Great Hope Springs.
The duo will reportedly play a married couple who have been together for 30 years, and embark on an intense counselling weekend away in order to decide on the fate of their marriage.
Philip Seymour Hoffman has also shown an interest in the project, but scheduling conflicts could stop him appearing.
Vanessa Taylor is writing the script, having previously worked on TV with series' like Everwood and Alias. There is no director currently attached.
Hopefully this will be a funnier, more interesting version of the recent Couples Retreat, which saw Vince Vaughn and pals embark on a similar marriage-saving excursion.
Hopeful for this? Or think it should be left behind?
