Michael Clark Duncan is a Street Fighter

And so is Chris Klein…

You may remember that the last time someone tried to adapt the Street Fighter video game franchise into a film, we got the decidedly dodgy movie that featured the unlikely casting of Kylie Minogue, Jean-Claude Van Damme and the late Raul Julia, making his cinematic swan song.

20th Century Fox and Hyde Park Entertainment are probably hoping no one thinks back to the 1994 cheese fest as the companies are planning a complete reboot of the franchise.

There’s no solid plot details yet, but Variety reports that Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein, Smallville’s Kristin Kreuk and Die Another Day’s Rick Yune are all on board playing various warriors.

Romeo Must Die director Andrzej Bartkowiak is at the helm and it will shoot in Vancouver, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
