Michael Clarke Duncan will voice Kilowog in Green Lantern

The Green Mile actor joins cast in post-production

Michael Clarke Duncan has officially signed on to lend his voice to the upcoming superhero flick Green Lantern.

He will be voicing a Green Lantern Corps "drill sergeant" named Kilowog.

Duncan will be joining the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and Geoffrey Rush - who also joined the cast in post-production, just two weeks ago. Rush will be playing Tomar-Re, "a bird/fish-like alien".

The actor was nominated for an Oscar in 1999 for his portrayal of death row inmate John Coffey in Frank Darabont's The Green Mile.

He will also be appearing next in Kung Fu Panda 2, reprising his role of Commander Vachir.

Green Lantern will be released on 17 June.
