Miles Teller confirms Fantastic Four talks

He's up for the part of Reed Richards

Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot might just be about to make some casting announcements, with young actor Miles Teller confirming that he has had talks over the role of Reed Richards.

Teller has previously been linked to Richards, otherwise known as Mr. Fantastic, and confirmed said connection when quizzed by Fandango recently.

"If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped," says Teller. "But then I’ll also be working for… it’s like seven months out of your year. Which is not a bad problem!"

With Michael B. Jordan and Saoirse Ronan having also been linked to the parts of Johnny and Sue Storm respectively, it seems as though Trank is looking to recreate the kind of fresh-faced ensemble that served him so well in Chronicle

No casting has been confirmed as yet, but expect that to change in the coming months, before production gets underway next year. The Fantastic Four will open in the US on 6 March 2015, with a UK date to be confirmed.

Would Teller be a good fit for the role? Tell us, below!

I don't remember ANY version of FF where Reed as such a fat face. Teller's totally wrong for the character too, I cannot see how he'd do justice to Reed. Not excited about this one bit at the moment :(

I wish they'd look for an actor in his early to mid thirties, casting Sue and Johnny in their twenties is fine but Reed and Ben need to be full grown men. Changing source material is fine as long as it does the characters and story justice. This is just beyond stupid by Fox, they're too busy dreaming about the financial rewards of a new trilogy instead of trying to find the right actors for the roles.

Ali1748 so correct, the story needs them to be mature humans. I don't care what race they are, but age matters. Reed was the natural leader because of his age and his experience, and that is easy for the audience to interpret. He has grey bits in his hair. Are they going to put grey bits on this teenager's hair? ahhh whatever
