DreamWorks pays $1 million for an as-yet-untitled comedy pitch…

Fresh from being bought by Paramount, DreamWorks is continuing to buy possible projects.

The latest acquisition is being kept strictly under wraps, though what we do know is that it’s a high-concept comedy and it comes from the fertile brain-garden of Dodgeball writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber. Oh, and it has the backing of producers Stuart Cornfeld and Ben Stiller.

Thurber dreamt up the idea and plans to once again take on writing and directing duties. It’s not confirmed that Stiller will star, but based on the success of Dodgeball, it’s a fair assumption…
