Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol gets a full trailer

Tom Cruise is back in action

We've previously had a pretty tantalising glimpse of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in the form of a teaser, but a full trailer has finally landed online.

It basically expands on what we've already seen, giving a better sense of the story and putting the spectacular action sequences in context.

It's looking like Brad Bird has made a comfortable transition from animation to live action, and the plot seems satisfyingly simple: the IMF are set up, and have to go rogue to clear their name.

And let's be honest, we're all a litte more interested in this one now we know it'll give us a glimpse at a few minutes of The Dark Knight Rises (if you see it in 70mm IMAX at least).

Check out the full trailer right here:

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol opens on 26 December 2011.

Will this see the Cruiser return to form? Debate it out below!

Mission Impossible 3 is the most under-appreciated action movies, good thing JJ Abrams is still involved in some capacity. Killer cast, simple and efficient plot, what looks like a truly spectacular set piece with the world's tallest building... On the list.

@dalidab1982 everytime i see comments on this site it always starts with you saying something ridiculous & getting everyone arguing with you, its gotta be an act for attention.... Anyway im someone who never use to like Tom cruise (for his films, not for what his beliefs are unlike some), lets face it he has made some c**p films, but i have found that as he's gotten older i've found his films to be better (not saying all his films were bad when he was young lol) And i loved the first 3 mission impossible films & definitely cant wait for this one although i hope they at least explain why Michelle Monaghan isnt in this one.... and as for the dark night rises glimpse? i dont care, im looking forward to the film but until im sat down in the theatre watching it i dont want a 10 minute preview... phew i'll be quiet now lol

I like the films, but they should of been more like the Oceans 11 of espionage, rather than a Cruise action vehicle. Its about the team after all, but then again (Magnolia and Tropic Thunder aside) you can't make a film without putting Cruise in the front. BTW making Jim Phelps the bad guy was F*cked up..who decide that is the ham-fisted cuntzilla of screenwriters..
