Movie 43 and After Earth win big at Razzies

Grown Ups 2 escapes unscathed

Movie 43 and After Earth were the big “winners” at this weekend’s Razzies, with both titles scooping three awards at the annual celebration of the year’s worst movies.

Movie 43 was named Worst Picture, while also being recognised for Worst Screenplay and Worst Director, the latter being collectively awarded to its 13 helmers.

Meanwhile, father and son duo Will and Jaden Smith also racked up three gongs for After Earth, as Worst Supporting Actor, Worst Actor and Worst Screen Combo respectively.

The Lone Rangerwas crowned Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel, while Tyler Perry (in drag) and Kim Kardashian won the two actress awards.

The big surprise was that Grown Ups 2 didn’t manage a single win, despite scooping a field-leading eight nominations. Never mind, chaps… there’s always next year.

I really enjoyed the Lone Ranger as well. I am quite suprised that Grown Up 2 didn't win anything seen as though it was just as bad as the first one.

Not surprised at AfterEarth - while the idea was good, Young Smith can not act for toffee and Old Smith was put on the side lines
