The trailer for Jim Carrey’s new comedy Mr Popper’s Penguins has skated online.
Following the life of Mr Popper (Carrey), the adap of Richard Atwater’s children’s book sees the titular Popper contending with a flock of penguins who are sent to him through the mail.
Before you can scream “pingu!”, his home’s crammed with the flightless creatures, and they’re creating all kinds of chaos in his life.

There are actually some funny moments here – including a rough-looking Carrey waking up in a bed stuffed with penguins – even if the final CGI dancing penguins shot is all kinds of horrible.

Mr Popper’s Penguins opens 5 August.
