Assassination Of Jesse James thesp Sam Rockwell has signed on to star in Gentlemen Broncos, from Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre helmer Jared Hess.
Writte by Hess and his wife, the story tracks a high-school loner (Lords Of Dogtown’s Michael Angarano) who has one of his stories stolen by a legendary fantasy novelist (Jemaine Clement) during a camp for writers.
Rockwell slots in as the fictional story’s title character, as Hess brings the story to life – the way the teen sees him and the way the novelist sees him.
Sounds interesting. But not quite as interesting as Choke, the Chuck ‘Fight Club’ Palahniuk adap that sees him play a sex-addicted theme-park worker who pretends to choke on food.
