The love triangle in Jim Sheridan’s tale of two brothers split by a woman just got its third point. Natalie Portman will come between Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal in Brothers.
She’s signing on to play the while of Maguire’s character, a soldier dispatched to fight in Afghanistan while his less-than-moral brother (Gyllenhaal) cares for Portman.
It’s a remake of Susanne Bier’s 2004 film, with a script by David Benioff, and Sheridan will start shooting early next month.
