Neil Jordan has signed up to write and direct the film adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard book.
Gaiman’s best-selling (and award-scooping) tome follows a young lad named Nobody "Bod" Owens whose parents are killed and is raised by the ghostly inhabitants of a graveyard.

The author announced that Jordan would be handling the film version on US Telly’s The Today Show, and that he hoped the movie would be filled with British thesping talent in a similar style to the Potter pics.
And as he’s the producer, Neil also blabbed that he wants to cast several unknowns to play the lead at different ages.
Keeping things even more British, UK effects studio Framestore, which most recently worked on The Dark Knight (they helped bring Harvey Dent’s Two-Face appearance to life).
It’s a good time for Neil’s work on screen, given that he worked on Beowulf and sees the stop-motion adaptation of his Coraline arrive on screen shortly. Now can we have Good Omens? Pretty please?
