The Avengers hype-machine continues to work itself into overdrive, with a new image of the Hulk cropping up online this morning.
Well, we say new, because it actually looks as though it was taken from the film’s recent Super Bowl trailer. Still, it’s the clearest look we’ve had of Bruce Banner’s alter-ego so far, so we thought it was worth sharing with you.
He certainly looks imposing, doesn’t he? It has been pointed out that in the trailer, Hulk looks only a little taller than his Avengers team-mates. Hopefully, this means Joss Whedon has decided to include the detail that Hulk grows bigger the angrier he gets.
Seeing the Hulk turn super-sized when he really gets mad would be the icing on an already awesome-looking cake. Much of the promotional material seems to be building Hulk up as the Avengers’ difference-maker (“We have a Hulk”), so don’t be surprised to see him steal the show come the movie’s climax.
The Avengers opens in the UK on 27 April 2012. In case you couldn’t tell, we’re kind of excited about it…

I actually hope they don't give much else away, want the first time I see him properly to be on screen. They really are selling him as the difference maker as TF says, so the build up in the film from Bruce Banner reluctant to let loose should provide a great source of suspense. So looking forward to this film!

Errr TF, it's just a screen grab from the Superbowl trailer. Take note, must try harder.

The CGI for the Hulk looks to be better than in the 2003 and 2008 films which is great but as you said about the whole thing with him getting bigger that's been the biggest let down of the Hulk films. This film would be much better if he's only a few foot taller than the others to begin with then someone or something really p**ses him off so he becomes gigantic and smashes everything up becoming the Avengers greatest asset

THE HULK NEVER GETS BIGGER ! He is alway the same height. The first Hulk film messed up everything. When he gets angrier he gets stronger not taller. The height in the Avengers is right. In comic books the Hulk is only 7 yo 8 feet tall

ok to be clear the Hulk weighs 1000 pounds stands 7 feet high and is the strongest Mortal to ever walk the earth. Comics take dramatic license which is ok and this would also be ok in the film as everyone has said 7yo8 feet. Thor is 6'6''. Nuff Said.

Agreed "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets!", not bigger. That was one of my main bug bears with Ang Lee's version. Let the Smashing commence!

well, if you're more impressed by the CG Hulk, this time around, you should....cuz, the WETA digital team, behind Peter Jackson's King Kong (and Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Caesar and the Silver Surfer), is behind it. AND...this time, they take the trouble of tryinna make the Hulk looking like the actor playing Bruce Banner, while STILL looking like how the Hulk SHOULD look.
