New Book Of Eli trailer arrives

Don't mess with Denzel...

A new trailer for apocalyptic action thriller The Book Of Eli has arrived online and you can see it below.

It's similar to the previous promo - lots of arid, desolate, post-war Earth and Denzel explaining how a "hole was torn in the sky" 31 years ago.

Now he's a lone wanderer, facing off against the usual dystopian leather punks and scavengers, protecting a sacred tome that appears to be part-Bible and part encyclopedia, which he hopes will help mankind clamber out of the hell it finds itself in.

It won't be easy - there's also Gary Oldman in smug baddie mode, and he wants the book for himself and the town he's starting up.

Fortunately, Denzel's got knives, guns and some brawl-worthy martial arts to back.

The film arrives on 15 January next year, but for now take a gander at the trailer and leave your thoughts…
