New Chinese TV spot for Iron Man 3: watch now

Tony Stark travels East

Iron Man 3 has released a new Chinese TV spot, featuring some exclusive footage from the Chinese version of the film that won’t appear in the US equivalent.

Earlier this year it was announced that Marvel would be releasing two versions of the film, with the Chinese release containing some additional scenes thought particularly relevant to that territory.

The new TV spot contains a taste of said material, including Iron Man strutting his stuff amid a vanguard of Chinese troops, and a brief appearance by Chinese star Fan Bingbing.

Take a look, below:

The Chinese market is absolutely huge for a blockbuster movie’s overall global take, so it makes sense that Marvel would go the extra mile to accommodate that audience.

Directed by Shane Black and co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, Iron Man 3 will open in the UK on 3 May 2013.

What do you think of the new spot? Tell us, below!

Hmmm... I wonder which version they'll show in Hong Kong. I suspect we'll get the regular version and the Chinese version will just be for the mainlanders. Anyway, will find out next week - already booked the tickets.

It was the rest of the world version, not Chinese :)
