New Christmas Carol trailer drifts in

The latest trailer for Robert Zemeckis' take on A Christmas Carol has arrived online and you can see it below.

As with many recent second promos, there's not a load of new footage from the Dickens adaptation, but you do get two solid fresh chunks - one of Scrooge generally being a miserable git to carol singers and one from while he's being haunted.

That second sequence clearly shows Zemeckis and his team showing off what the performance capture technology can bring to the story as a shrunken Scrooge is flung around and off a roof.

It's a fun little moment, but we wish they didn't indulge themselves in the sort of slapstick humour usually better suited to the Ice Age films.

What would Dickens say? He'd probably approve if it helped bring in the audiences...

Take a look at the trailer for yourself and leave your thoughts in the comments...

This looks like a*s, cannot believe that Disney have the nuts to put this weird looking mess into the theaters. Mo-Cap is a redundant form, it costs more than either hand animated or live-action films, and through the creepiness of it's dead fish protagonists, alienates to a staggering degree. But even taken on it's own sub-standard merits, this looks like a giant leap backwards from Beowolf.

Looks like it will be a very good film indeed... a little better that The Polar Express, which I didn't really like so much. Maybe I'll go see it on IMAX 3D, that is, if they bring it here (Colombia) maybe I'll see it.
