New clip arrives for Paranormal Activity 4: watch now

Don’t go into the garage...

Paranormal Activity 4 has released a new clip online, in which teenage protagonist Kathryn Newton finds herself being menaced by an unseen presence in the garage of her home.

Having discovered that the garage door is unlocked, Newton follows Scream-Queen 101 by heading inside to investigate. She even utters the words, “that’s weird”!

Needless to say, as soon as she sets foot in the garage, things start falling over, strange noises start happening and everyone gets a little freaked out. Textbook stuff.

Take a look at the new clip, below…

Despite the general sense of public exhaustion with the found-footage genre, it still has a few tricks left up its sleeve, and there’s no denying the level of discomfort experienced when you’re seeing what the potential victims are seeing. Still, you wonder how many more PA’s we’ll see before the series shuts down for good…

Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, and co-starring Katie Featherston and Matt Shively, Paranormal Activity 4 is in UK cinemas now. What are you waiting for?

It looks good, it really does but it suffers from rather obvious which is why I won't be seeing it: scary movies do not effectively work in the theatre. Movies of that type need to be watched at home, in the dark in complete sollitude. It is then that one truly gets scared. One feels scared because we are alone left at the mercy of the movie. If we are surrounded by fifty people, we feel safe. Anyway. That's my take on it. :)

Agreed. As a horror fan, the most a film in a theatre has achieved is uncomfortable. It's the home viewings that really mess with your nerves.
