The Amazing Spider-Man has released a new clip via viral website Mark Of The Spider-Man, but rather than show the webslinger facing off against a bunch of crims, the footage has Peter Parker tangling with a pernickety doorman.
It’s not the most action-packed of sequences, but it does at least give us a chance to see Andrew Garfield’s boyish charisma in full effect, as he struggles not to lose his cool.
We’d have liked to have seen Bruce Campbell cameo as the doorman, but perhaps that’s just too much to ask now Sam Raimi has left the franchise.
Take a look at the new clip below…
The viral site has also become a little more populated, with the six CCTV screens now all occupied with footage of Spider-Man graffiti spotted in six cities across the States. “Our operatives have successfully put a mark on their communities,” reads the accompanying text, “and support for Spider-Man is growing.”
It’s a nice touch, although one that’s slightly undermined by the cautious small print: “Columbia Pictures does not condone or support the propagation of unauthorized graffiti.” The Amazing Spider-Man opens in the UK on 4 July 2012.
