New Dr Parnassus trailer online

Terry Gilliam's latest gets a fresh promo

BY James White Aug 10th 2009 5:05AMFILED UNDER: Movie news

There's a new trailer online for Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus and you can watch it below.

This latest promo is a little more story-led than some of the previous trailers, but it also offers a better glimpse of some of the weird and wonderful worlds the director has fashioned this time around.

It's focused on the terrible deal that Christopher Plummer's Doc makes with the devil himself (Tom Waits) and the man (played alternately by Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law) who helps him with the problem.

Parnassus opens over here on October 16th. Take a look at the footage for yourself and let us know your thoughts...

Wow! It looks amazing! I just hope my local cinema shows it, but if not then I shall happily travel as far as I have to in order to find a cinema that does. I'll be taking a handkerchief as I'll probably cry at some point, but it looks really good.

Holy S$%* this looks stunning, cannot wait for the cinema release. As per earlier comments will probably need a few tissues when Heath is on screen. What a terrible loss!!

I think we can all agree, even after a year of quite amazing films, this Gilliam film is definitely one of the top three to watch this year! Looks visually brilliant, a superb cast, I want to watch it now!
