New green-band trailer for Evil Dead: watch now

If you go down to the woods today…

The long-awaited Evil Dead remake has released a new green-band trailer online, and while it might be less bloody than the ones that have gone before, it seems every bit as intense.

The last two trailers seemed hell-bent on backing up director Fede Alvarez’s claim that the film would be a gore-soaked rollercoaster ride, so it’s interesting to see a few more of the film’s less grisly moments.

That said, the whole film seems to be coated in a sheen of gore and grime, with things starting to go very wrong as soon as some bright spark turns up the Necronomicon and starts reading from it.

Take a look, below:

Aside from the gore, we’re enjoying some of the many nods to the original film, from the wildly turning pages of the Book Of The Dead to the grasping branches of that tree. There might not be any Bruce Campbell, but this is still recognisably an Evil Dead film.

Co-starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez and Elizabeth Blackmore, Evil Dead will open in the UK on 19 April 2013.

What do you think of the new trailer? Tell us, below!

this needs to be released uncut over here with an 18 certificate, if they make cuts to it so that it gets the dreaded 15 certificate then it won't be worth watching, it does look awesome though.

Looks awesome, but not going to be right without the campiness of the Campbell era. Not that I won't be there with bells on, but... just sayin'

So the red band trailer shows all the gory bits, the green band trailer shows all the ungory bits. Now we've seen the whole movie.
