New image for Resident Evil: Retribution

Milla Jovovich kicks some ass

Resident Evil: Retribution has released a new image in the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly, via ShockTillYouDrop, in which Milla Jovovich's heroine, Alice, puts some hurt on a member of the infected.

While the promotional material has been fairly light on T-Virus sufferers so far, it's nice to finally get to see Alice back to what she does best: kicking seven shades out of a blood-spattered, dead-eyed shambler.

The new film begins with Alice banged up within one of Umbrella's most secure operations facilities. Naturally, it doesn't stand much chance of holding her, and before you can say "zombie", she's on the loose once more.

However, the free world is in a worse state than ever before, the T-Virus having laid waste to the majority of the planet's human population. Can Alice track down those responsible for the outbreak in time to save the last remaining survivors? She won't if they want to milk another film out of the franchise…

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (of course), and featuring the return of a few key cast members who seemingly perished earlier in the franchise (Michelle Rodriguez just will not stay down), Resident Evil: Retribution opens in the UK on 28 September 2012. Mmm, brains...

More importantly, why does that Zombie look like he's in pain. Zonbies don't feel pain...They're un-dead!

SixStepSamurai - I guess money talks, and apparently these films make a lot of it. alexr - Are you seriously questioning Paul W.S. Anderson's filmmaking skills? ;)

Perhaps the returning cast are clones or the originals? Throughout the films there have been countless Alice clones so it's a possibility that Umbrella have made clones of them to trap Alice by using her emotional side or something.

I've seen the RE films 1-3. the first was a ball of s**te & they get progressively worse, judging by the trailers for the 4th film & this one, that trend hasn't changed. save yourself the money, time & pain and avoid like a zombie plague. I don't think this guy Anderson has ever made a good film. although i think the director for RE 3 was different, so the entire mess isn't the complete fault of this fool. Its almost a tie between this guys c**p & the guy who makes those underworld films as to who can create the worse drivel starring their wives. if you want a synopsis its probably on wikipedia, Im not even gonna bother checking as its not worth the energy. I advise not to give a care what the storyline is in them, the script writers obviously didn't so why should anyone else.

@Heisenberg Seriously, just watch the first 30 minutes of the first film. Then switch it off, go into the kitchen, and slam your head in the fridge door. That's pretty much how the remaining 3 1/2 films will make you feel - and I doubt this will be any better.

Heisenberg, i've seen them all and honestly can't differentiate between each one. They're just a continual stream of rubber monsters and slow motion backflips with a chick in tight clothes holding two guns.

A real zombie plague would be more enjoyable and believable.

The question now is that dalidab is gone, who is going to become the enemy. 1 thing i will say though is that I've also noticed an absence of writerdave, was he the Harvey Dent side for Dalidabs Two Face? Hmmm, the plot thickens.

Mein Goht! I hadn't noticed that. Maybe Writerdave has retired now that his work is done. He'll reappear in 7 years when the threat of Dalidab returns
