The first image of Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as Hansel and Gretel had landed online at Entertainment Weekly.
This is set to be a very different take on the classic fairytale, with the grown-up siblings discovering they have a taste for witch-hunting.
Thankfully their outfits capture the essence of badass mythical chic without veering into Van Helsing camp.
It'll be interesting to see how Arterton handles an action-heavy role, after dabbling in a bit of the physical stuff in Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time.
We should get a better idea of what to expect from the film when the trailer lands (it's due next Thursday).
Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters opens on 2 March 2012.

I love Jeremy Renner, and this could be a fun popcorn flick. However, I am so sick of Gemma Arterton. I think she's always the worst part of whatever movie she's mucking about in. Prince of Persia was already pretty bad, but she was the most annoying, ingratiating part.

Very happy! Being norwegian and seeing Tommy Wirkola getting a proper budget to work with will be great! Knowing how he makes films (dead snow anybody?) I think this will be something completely diffrent from what everybody is expecting! :D

Gemma Arterton has to be one of the most boring actresses around, she is cinematic beige.
