Yoda was going to be played by a monkey in Star Wars

First image reveals weird alternative

A new image from behind the scenes of Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back has revealed how Yoda was originally expected to look.

Instead of the friendly, Frank Oz-voiced green puppet we all love, Yoda was originally going to be played by a monkey in a mask.

That fact is nothing new to Star Wars groupies, but until now we've never had any visual proof to back up the anecdotes.

That changed this week when a film fan tweeted an uncanny picture of a monkey wearing a very scary, bulbous-nosed mask.

The monkey approach was soon abandoned, however, when trainers realised that the simian would simply keep pulling the mask off.

Talk about a diva...

Like it? Wish Yoda had looked like this? Tell us below...

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do,,,WWW.Day35.COℳ
