New Japanese trailer for Snowpiercer arrives online: watch now

Packed full of new footage

A new Japanese trailer has arrived online for Snowpiercer, Bong Joon-Ho’s dystopian actioner, complete with a glut of previously unseen footage.

Despite the Japanese voice-over, the actual footage from the film itself is largely English-language, as the sole survivors of a new ice age find themselves living aboard the titular train.

The train, powered by a perpetual motion machine, offers refuge from the icy wastes without, but within, a brutally repressive class system is about to come to the boil...

Take a look at the new trailer, below:

The film itself is still the subject of a struggle between Bong and Harvey Weinstein, who has been demanding a shorter, more action-orientated cut for US audiences.

As a result we’re still waiting for an official release date to see Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris et al strut their stuff. Hopefully a compromise can be reached sooner rather than later.

What do you think of the new trailer? Tell us, below!

I purchased this movie via Amazon France - watched this movie and was gripped from the start. Not sure why or where Harvey Weinstein wants to cut the movie - I think it is just perfect the way it is. It is one of the most beautiful and haunting movie I've seen. It has many shock scenes that I didn't predict. You felt every emotion of Chris Evans', Jamie Bell's etc characters and their desperation and sheer panic. These movies are too few and far between.
